Giving Back with Thread Together

At Girl and the Sun  we are dedicated to supporting charities that are close to our hearts. This month, we are donating $1 from every sale made to Thread Together.

Thread Together is the only charity in Australia whose leading driver is to source new and excess clothing from fashion retailers and redistribute those items to people in our communities who need it most. This includes those that are homeless, youth at risk, Indigenous communities, survivors of domestic violence, refugees or those who are long term unemployed.

In Australia, over 2.99 million people are living below the poverty line. This is 13.3% of men, women and children in our community who are doing it tough and may not have access to a warm winter jumper, comfortable, waterproof shoes or even a clean pair of underwear.

It is the belief of Thread Together that clothing plays a vital role in creating a brighter future for those who need it most. Clothing enables those who are vulnerable to feel safe and warm and assists those who are seeking clothing to aid in employment.

They have been able to help an incredible 300,000 people in the past five years and we are so proud to be able to contribute to this ongoing effort with the help of you, our sisterhood.
