Think Green: Focus on Sustainability

Last month Girl and the Sun had an amazing month focusing on community impact, where we aimed to make a huge difference to our community. Now during the month of April, as a team we are 'thinking green', focusing of sustainability. With Earth Day coming up on April 22nd, every little bit counts and helps towards protecting our planet. If you're looking for some inspiration on where to get started, here is what we are pledging to commit to at our Girl and the Sun HQ.

• We have implemented an office recycling bin and will aim to recycle wherever possible - cans, bottles etc.
• Repurposing old garments in a staff natural dyeing workshop
• Collecting and donating our second hand clothing
• Holding an in office clothes swap
• It is clear how important trees are so we are going to be planting trees around our community and will also be getting more office plants to create a beautiful and clean area in our HQ
• Carpooling and walking to the office
• Bringing our lunches in order to reduce the amount of single use plastics that we are consuming as well as ensuring we take our keep cups for takeaway beverages
