In Australia, 1 in 20 children are born with a birth defect or genetic disease. These numbers are heart breaking and can only be prevented through medical research to establish treatments or even preventions for these childhood diseases.
The Children’s Medical Research Institute is working to fight genetic diseases by conducting important research that aims to let kids be kids!
Jeans for Genes Day was created to raise awareness and support for the CMRI who over the next two decades, plan to develop new treatments for epilepsy, kidney disease, diabetes, infectious diseases and cancers. They also hope to find gene therapy cures for rare genetic diseases in children.
This year, Jeans for Genes day takes place on Friday 7th August, 2020. It’s a day that we can come together as a nation in support of this life saving cause. For the month of August, $1 of every sale we make will be donated to The Children’s Medical Research Institute in support of Jeans for Genes. This is a cause that is close to our hearts and we are so proud to contribute to this life saving research.
