Minimalist classics in neutral tones.
What a day in the life of Gabby look like?
I love to start my day with a walk down to my local beach (Currumbin) with a coffee.
Then I head to my photo studio to prepare for any shoots that are on for the day - I love meeting new clients every day! Then I’ll usually spend my day planning out my own content, and often head out and about to shoot with my bestie/business partner Dom.
What the items of clothing can you not live without?
My staples are an oversized blazer and denim jeans
What is your favourite piece from the Girl & The Sun X Gabby Smith collection and where will you be wearing it?
I’ve been living in the Frances Blazer! I love that I can throw it over a simple outfit such as jeans and a white tee, and dress it up by wearing it with the matching Hudson Crop and Averie Shorts.
What inspired the shapes and patterns for this collection?
Cooler days living by the sea, living in relaxed styles that can be layered and styled for endless occasions, worn season to season. I love wearing easy and comfortable pieces in earthy neutral tones.
Who is your style inspiration?
I’m inspired by my best friends every day! I also love a good Pinterest scroll for style inspiration.
What are some challenges you’ve faced or had to overcome with running your businesses?
Hard work and sometimes very long hours! Understanding that the more you put in, the more you get out! But in the end it is so rewarding.
What are some tips on creating some beautiful content?
Soft natural light is key! Keep it simple, minimal backgrounds to let the outfit shine.
Sneakers, heels or flats?
Sneakers, because I’m all about comfort!
What trends are you loving for 2022?
Loving a co-ord set, blazers, chocolate and beige tones
We offer 14 day domestic returns or 21 day International returns on unworn items with tags still attached in original condition. We do not offer refunds on sale items. Sale items are eligible for a store credit note only.
Outlet, Jewellery and swimwear cannot be returned.
Please note return shipping costs are at the responsibility of the customer.
Any items purchased in our Outlet Sale are final sale and cannot be returned.

WHAT CAN BE RETURNED?
All items excluding Outlet, Sale category items, jewellery, accessories and swimwearcan be returned for a Refund. Sale items may be returned for a gift card only. All items marked as FINAL SALE or OUTLET will not be accepted back at all, If they are returned the sale will be forfeited or you will have to pay for return shipping. If returned to us within 14 days of dispatch for Australia/New Zealand customers or 30 days of dispatch for international customers.
We do not offer exchanges, You are welcome to return your item and re-purchase your preferred size.
Full Priced Items: Can be returned for a refund or credit note - (If you have used a discount code on a full priced item it will be accepted back for a refund or credit note)
Sale Items: If you purchase an item from the sale section/category on the website it will only be accepted back for a credit note.
Final Sale Items/OUTLET: Are final sale and will not be accepted back.
In order to receive a refund or credit note, your return item must meet the following conditions:
Returns will only be accepted under these conditions. As we quality-control all of our styles before they are sent out, we will inspect all return items upon receipt - any returns which fail to comply with the above will be sent back to you. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that while every effort is made to accurately display the colour of our garments, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be completely accurate.
Australian & International customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return items. If the package does not reach us, we will not be able to complete the refund, we would recommend sending it via traceable post.
If there is a fault with the style you've purchased, we will offer to repair or replace it where available. If we cannot repair or replace the style, we will offer a store credit only. All claims for faulty styles are assessed on an individual basis.
If you require an exchange for a different size, colour or alternative items, you can return your items (providing they meet the return conditions under What can be returned?) and you will be issued with a credit note or refund to place a new order for your preferred items.
Due to the fast turnover of stock, we are unable to hold items and therefore cannot guarantee that your preferred size or colour will be in stock at the time of making your purchase.
We will not process returns until your item is physically received by us in our warehouse. Once received, please allow 2-5 business days for your return to be processed. This period may vary during peak times (sale periods, public holidays, Christmas/New Year). Once your return has been processed, you will be notified via email with details of your credit note or, if applicable, a refund.
Returns remain subject to Girl and the Sun’s returns policy.
If you wish to return your item, please send your item back to us as you would for a normal order. When we receive the item/s and accept your return we will issue a refund or credit note for the total value of the item/s returned.
